Worth the stay as a base to explore Osaka

Great location. Less than 3 min from Shinsaibashi Station. Lots of restaurants just at the door step. Breakfast spread was great too.

The only negative issue is the unusually small dustbin on the toilet.

Wonderful

The Hotel looks and feels new. Perfect location, near shopping street and train station. Staff are polite, kind and helpful. Family mart nearby, you can eat at the lobby. Room is big. Bed is comfy. Room is clean. Room has enough space for large luggages.

Loved our stay here, great room, facilities and location.

Hotel the Flag is in prime position to everything in Shinsaibashi. Located on a quiet street only a few metres walk to the main shopping street. It is modern and has all the facilities you need in one place. The laundry was such a bonus and convenient. The buffet breakfast was the best I had in my entire 2.5 week holiday in Japan. Highly recommend and will be back again.

The fridge struggled to cool in the cupboard, we moved it out and it worked like a dream. The A/C could at times be a little inconsistent despite what setting you have it on.

Great, high quality Osaka stay.

We stayed at the Flag during our Japan honeymoon. The staff kindly congratulated us and even offered us free breakfast! This was beyond our expectations. Excellent staff and facilities with free coffee on offer in the lobby, as well as clothes washing machines. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had great western options. The room was the largest and nicest that we stayed in for all 4 of the hotels we visited in Japan. Perfect location, walking distance to dotonbori and shopping. Highly recommend staying here.

Worst part of our visit was leaving.

Very Good

Location is fantastic! Easy on foot to get to Shinsaibashi shopping street and the station.

The room is rather small, not enough hooks on the wall to hang coats and towels. Difficult to open luggage bigger than cabin size.

Wonderful experience in the central in Osaka

The location was amazing! We could reach easily Shinsai-bashi station and Nagahori-bashi station on foot. The stuffs were very friendly and helpful and making great vibes in the hotel. Everywhere in the hotel was clean including the laundry room. I was inpressed!

This could besomething that the hotel can not do a lot, but it was pretty loud on the street as it locates in the central Shinsaibashi.

Amazing hotel in the heart of the action! Simply perfect!

The hotel was beautifully decorated. It’s in an excellent location yet quiet. We had a fabulous stay and if we are ever in Osaka again, we would definitely stay here again. Staff was very helpful. Amazing breakfast which was a bonus - only wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it for longer but USJ awaits . I could not fault the hotel. Our children 17 and 19 absolutely loved the hotel style and its location so close to the buzz of Osaka. Close to subway and so easy to navigate. We booked two rooms and the staff accommodated our request to be near our older children. Wonderful find!

Everything was on point - the aesthetic, modern feel, amenities to the staff being super lovely!!! Location was so convenient and close to everything- 15 mins to dotonbori and so many shops on the way there too.

Great location, literally two blocks away from the popular Shinsaibashi shopping area and train station. Clean and new facilities, very well-maintained. Staff were very friendly and clear in their communication. Breakfast has a lot of options.

Great location and very beautiful hotel.

Beautiful hotel with great staff. Great location and very close by whatever you need. Will definitely be back.

The breakfast wasn’t the best especially for the price. Better off going outside to grab a cheaper meal.

A well-situated hotel which is simple but yet modern.

- A team of young friendly and helpful staff. I requested their help to book a cab on my check-out day. - Good location. It takes only a few mins to reach Shinsaibashi metro (exit 5) and Shinsaibashi-suji shopping street. - Room is clean, bed is comfy and everything else worked as intended.

- Stingy hanger rail (see pic). Yes, the rail, not the hangers. It's universal fact that hotels provide limited hangers. Hence, I usually prepare a few cheap & disposable hangers when I travel. In this case, the railing for the hangers is so short that I resorted to hanging my clothing all over the places, e.g. next to the TV rack, door knob, bathroom, at the edge of the small desk ^_^" - A slightly bigger desk would be good for those who still need to work a bit at the end of the day!
